This evening, Z and I are heading out of town for the weekend to attend the Maryland Craft Beer Festival and also, continue to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. After an event laden holiday weekend, I am very much looking forward to a change of scenery and some down time. The festival is in Frederick, Maryland; also the home of my most recent half marathon. I’ve visited briefly twice before, but that run was the first time I actually ‘explored’ the town and saw what it had to offer (at least from a runners perspective).
Frederick was not only a downtown full of chic and unique eateries, taphouses, eclectic shops, and Brewer’s Alley. It also was comprised of beautiful green parks, lovely brick homes (to say the least), and townspeople that were more than supportive throughout the 13.1 mile duration.
Thank you strangers for your orange slices, gummy bears, and Sierra Nevada.
Before we break, check out our latest finds:
Have a great weekend!
